When thinking about innovation and structure in your own organisation, it can be useful to see what others are doing. The Northern Rivers Social Development Council (NRSDC) has published a report called, Service Integration in a Regional Homelessness Service System, which looks at the development of the Tweed Shire Housing and Homelessness Network and increased integrated case management strategies.
The Industry Development Fund, an initiative of Homelessness NSW, the NSW Women’s Refuge Movement, and YFoundations, has also released a list of 58 projects that seek to innovate in various ways. This list includes contact details for people involved so that organisations can share knowledge and experience.
Further afield, the Nomad Trust and Lincolnshire YMCA in Lincolnshire, UK are discussing a merger to unite their housing services in the city, from the emergency night shelter to outreach support for people leaving supported accommodation.
The Australian Housing and Urban Research Institute (AHURI) have published research for the West Australian Government into another UK project, in this case one channeling investment towards affordable rental housing.
