National Domestic Violence Day
There is one universal truth, applicable to all countries, cultures and communities: violence against women and children is never acceptable, never excusable, never tolerable.
– UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
02 May is National Domestic Violence Day, a day to remember all those who have lost their lives to domestic violence. SWHA was proud to attend a special event at Parliament House to honour and pay respect to those who have been killed as a result of Domestic and Family Violence. At the event roses were placed – Red for Women, White for Children and Yellow for Men along the fence at Parliament House.
A big thankyou to Jan and the team and Moving Forward for putting together the important event.
